Manufactured by John Thomas, Inc. in Illinois, the Dura-Curb is one of the most cost-effective solutions available to address the new safety challenges presented by the Whistle Ban legislation.
Dura-Curb Raised Separator System
Deters Drive-Arounds
Quickly Improve Grade Crossing Safety - Reduce Liability

The recent Whistle Ban legislation now requires additional safety measures at grade crossings to prevent motorists from driving around gates. The Dura-Curb raised median separator system provides both a physical and visual barrier for motorists to deter drive-arounds at grade crossings. The Dura-Curb's raised profile and solid line of reflective delineators send a strong message to motorists who might typically ignore traditional crossing gates and warnings.

Durable HMW/HDPE Construction!
The Dura-Curb system consists of curb sections that are anchored to the pavement using standard lag bolts. The Dura-Curb sections are constructed of highly durable HMW/HDPE plastic, which provides superior UV resistance and is unaffected by road salts and oils common in the roadway environment.

The Dura-Curb features built-in color Vision-Strips that are molded into the curb modules. These strips form a continuous visual line for motorists to follow. Reflective arches enable the motorist to see the shape of the curb at night or in low light conditions. Hazard markers and delineators are also equipped with reflective sheeting for superior visibility.
