| What is so different about John Thomas, Inc? |
#1. People. We have picked the best combinations of experience,
committment and salt of the earth workers who enjoy representing
the values we bring to the customer. In many instances, the
value of the people is more important than the product. The
true value of the actual product is only appreciated long after
it has flawlessly serviced the customer.
|
| Do you distribute or manufacture products? |
Both. We represent the finest manufactured and tested products available.
The manufacturers of distributed products is as much a part of our business
family as the customer. John Thomas still adds tremendous value in
engineered evaluation, installation, in-serive support and combining
specialty options. We also manufacture and fabricate safety products from
both plastic and steel and combine the available technology to produce
the final product. In either event, our supplies are the best partners
available. We all work together to serve the customer and make a
meaningful contribution to the transportation safety industry.
Importantly, we add quality to the lives of those families who
escaped harm because of the technology, products and innovation we bring
to the road. Most will never know.

| Can your median separator system answer all
quiet-zone safety demands? |
No. No one system is right for all conditions.
But the Median Separator System is well suited for a vast number of
crossings where additional safety can be achieved for a minimum of cost.
Crossing safety products run from the simple and cost effective to the
complex and more costly. John Thomas, Inc. specializes in crash worthy
devices. We simply incorporated the worldÕs most crash worthy delineator
system with the most maintenance free, easy to install curb base to arrive
at the Dura-Curb Median Separator System. To the other extreme, when the
crossing situation demands a positive, crash worthy barrier, the Stop-Gate
Device by Energy Absorptions Systems is recommended.

|
| Quickly, tell me how is Dura-Curb better? |
Universal pieces. No male/female parts. Universal ends too.
Color stripes are thru-color and stay that nice bright color for years.
Scuppers provide water flow between each piece at your discretion. Since
Dura-Curb is not hooked together the System is expandable to meet your
length needs. The curb can be cut to meet pedestrian walk areas, electrical
box covers and even the tracks. The delineator is an extremely impact worthy
component. The delineators are the true maintenance backbone of the system.
These get hit from all angles. Delineators can be replaced with new in 15
seconds. This keeps the system easy to maintain and many times more safe for
the workers.

| I need a traffic signal set up tomorrow
at 7:15 am. It is on a bridge where one lane is closed. Can you do that? |
Yes. We prefer more time to plan the delivery so that every
consideration is evaluated, but tomorrow is fine.
|
| How long does it take to set the signals up? |
Two signals ... a couple of hours. Some construction sites are more
complicated, add another hour.
|
| Can you adjust for traffic flows in one
direction or another? |
Absolutely. All of our traffic signal set-ups are traffic flow
monitored and sensored to accommodate demand.
|
| How about crash cushions? |
We have all kinds to match your risk and needs. Sand barrels (both
Fitch and Energite), QuadGuard and REACT systems, waterfilled barrier
end treatments (TRITON), TMA's (SafeStop by Energy Absorption) and others.
